Biography:   He is an advisor at Fajr Capital. Focusing on the enabling strategies, solutions and tool set for value creation in financial services industry like Operations, Technology, Process and Service. He was previously Chief Information Officer at Barclays Bank - Emerging Market region responsible for defining, building and deploying international, re-usable Information Technology solutions and operational processes. He has enabled entries for Barclays Bank into new markets like India, Pakistan and Russia; re-launch businesses in UAE, Egypt and Uganda by providing O&T capabilities. He was the technology work stream lead for Barclays - Emerging Market Region M&A and integration activities and completed the technology integration of a bank in Uganda and Russia into the Barclays group. Prior joining Barclays Bank he was Vice President in Citigroup - Central Europe Region where he had various senior positions. These positions included: Chief Operating Officer – Czech Republic, Head of Technology for Central European Region, Senior Operating Officer – Hungary. In Czech Republic he has build a successful and effective call center with integrated cross sell and service capabilities. He has successfully implemented and rolled out co-branded products based on strategic alliances with Mobile Operators. In Central Europe he has led the standardization and migration effort into strategic end state technology platforms and operational processes for the Commercial and Retail bank. In Hungary he led the Technology Integration and customer migration of ING retail bank into Citibank. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Informatics and a doctorate degree from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
